FAQ

Everything you want to know, answered straight.

From the Pre-Grade to the prices to your data: here is how it works.

AI Pre-Grade

Is an AI Pre-Grade the same as a PSA grade?

No. It is our own estimate of how a card is likely to score, based on centering, corners, edges, and surface. PSA graders can and do reach a different conclusion. Use the estimate to decide what is worth submitting, not as a promise.

Do I need an account to scan a card?

No. The demo page scans a card without an account, and that scan is not stored. You need an account only when you want to keep a card in your collection.

Does it work on cards that are not in English?

Yes. Identification covers Japanese and European printings, and condition analysis works the same way regardless of language.

Is GrailPilot affiliated with PSA or Pokémon?

No. GrailPilot is independent. Pokémon and the Pokémon Trading Card Game are trademarks of their respective owners, and PSA is a trademark of Collectors Universe. The estimates are ours; the grade on the slab is theirs.

Prices and costs

Where do the prices come from?

From PriceCharting, which tracks completed sales of the same card in the same condition. You see one indicative market price per grade, refreshed daily, with the source named next to it.

What does it cost?

Starting is free and stays free for your collection, portfolio value, scanning, and grade estimates. Pro starts at €3.99 a month and Elite at €7.99, both with a cheaper yearly option, and you can try Pro free for 7 days without a card. The full comparison is on the pricing page.

Your collection and your data

What is the difference between a wishlist and a watchlist?

A wishlist is what you want to own. A watchlist is what you want to keep an eye on, with an alert when the price hits your number.

Can I import an existing list?

Yes. Upload a CSV and every row is matched against the full Pokémon catalogue. Rows we cannot match come back to you, so you can check them yourself.

Can I get my data out, or delete it?

Both, whenever you like. Export gives you a CSV of your whole collection. Deleting your account removes your cards, photos, and profile.

Apps and browser

Is there an iPhone or Android app?

The web app works on your phone browser today. Native apps with live camera scanning are on the way, and you can leave your email at the bottom of any page to hear when they land.

Does GrailPilot work on a computer too?

Yes. GrailPilot runs in the browser, on your phone, tablet, and computer. On your phone it is at its best, because that is where your camera is.

Is your question missing? Send it to us
